Summary

What we collect

As you browse the site, we don't collect any data but our service provider might temporarily collect some logs.

If you create a share, the following data is collected and store:

• A truncated hash derived from the share ID.
• The encrypted share data.
• The expiration in seconds is sent to the server which then stores an expiration date/time.

This data will be deleted within a minute of the share expiration.

If you create a share with attachments, for each of them we collect and store:

• A random ID used to identify the attachment.
• The encrypted attachment data.

This data will be deleted within a day. Note how we do not directly associate an attachment with a share (although it might be possible to infer from the logs).

If you view a share or download an attachment, no additional data is stored.

Why we collect

We collect the aforementioned data to provide the service.

Data Exchange

We do not sell, license, or sub-license any of the data submitted directly or indirectly by our users with any person or entity.

We only share the encrypted share payload if a user provides a valid truncated hash matching a non-expired share and a valid challenge solution.

We do not receive, store, or provide any decryption keys.

Data Deletion

We do not collect PII (Personal Identifiable Information).

Outside of extraordinary circumstances we won’t delete data manually as we cannot verify a share ownership and, without a share ID, its content. Please note that all shares will expire after at most 1 week and all attachments will expire after 24h of creation.

Data Request

As we do not identify our users we cannot provide you any data other than what you can publicly access with a valid share ID.
